Peter Tenido

Peter Tenido is a lecturer and researcher at the De La Salle University (DLSU) Chemistry Department. His current research project involves using advanced analytical methods for the detection of chemical residues in food produced in the Philippines, and using the results to influence national policy on food safety and agricultural practice. He completed a Master of Business and Science degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey, USA, where he received industry-relevant training in high technology entrepreneurship, intellectual property, finance, marketing, supply chains, biotechnology, and drug discovery. He is currently working on a Master of Science in Chemistry degree at DLSU. His interests are diverse, but he is especially passionate about the application of science, technology, and innovation to uplift the human experience – to protect rights and democracy, make information available to all, eliminate poverty, maintain ecological balance, end disease, and prolong life. He shares his talents with the DLSU Innovation and Technology Office (DITO) in the hopes that his colleagues in the DLSU faculty will recognize the important role they play in the Philippine innovation ecosystem, and that they will work with DITO to ensure that their inventions benefit the community.
