Dr. Gregg Garcia, Ph.D.

Dr. Gregg Garcia did his Masters in Manufacturing Engineering and Management from De La Salle University- Manila as a DOST Scholar. He had completed his Doctorate Degree in Public Administration from a state university while working at Asian Development Bank HQ in Mandaluyong City for about 18 years. He had worked with Metro-LRT for 10 years handling Signalling, Telecom and Rolling stock and had received training in Europe on engineering technology and Urban transport. He did corporate planning and management services work, prior to appointment with ADB. He taught full time for the MEM Department of the Gokongwei College of Engineering and also handled Operations Management and Quality Management subjects for the College of Business and Advanced Sustainable Transport and Urban Mobility for Graduate students of the Civil Engineering Department. His area of expertise is on innovation, management of technology with special focus on transport (Bike sharing Systems, mass transport systems and ITS) where he had been a consultant for ADB, the government (Department of Transportation) and some private multinational companies. Besides being a thesis adviser, he had been a Technical Expert for the De La Salle University Innovation and Technology Services Office (DITO) where he supported team on patents, other IP projects as well as raising awareness of faculty, students and the academic community of the relevance of IP for the university and for the country.
