Dr. Conchada is a Full Professor at the School of Economics, De La Salle University, and a Senior Research Fellow of the Angelo King Institute for Economic and Business Studies. She previously served as Associate Dean of the School of Economics and Vice Chair of the Economics Department. She also worked as an economic analyst with the Asian Development Bank and as a visiting fellow at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada. She was also a Research Fellow of the Partnership for Economic Policy. In 2018, she was one of the DOST-NAST recipients of the Outstanding Scientific Paper Award for our paper entitled “Making social health insurance and micro-savings programs work for the informal sector in the Philippines.”

Dr. Conchada teaches economic development, introduction to microeconomics and macroeconomics, and impact evaluation. She has also mentored masteral and doctoral students.

She was part of the Uniservitate Program, particularly the Service Learning Training Program for Institutional Stakeholders as one of the module teachers. She was also active in her community, serving in Christ Commission Fellowship’s NXTGEN children’s ministry as a squad leader and a curriculum writer.

Research Interest

Dr. Conchada’s research work revolves mostly around development economics, particularly utilizing impact evaluation methods to assess outcomes attributed to a program/event. She has done work on economics of poverty, entrepreneurship for women, social protection, health and education.
