Research Interest

Currently, my overarching interest is the use of economic analysis in shining a light on the realities faced by the marginalized sector.  With the increasing role of the internet in our everyday life (i.e., education, market transactions, financial system, etc.), I would like to contribute to the body of studies that proposes initiatives, programs, policies, and so on that would guarantee a more inclusive digital economy.  In particular, I would like to look into the application and implication of the radical shift to digital communications and market transactions on the various sectors of the economy. I would like to contribute to the body of work that focuses on: 1) barriers to access and bridging gaps, including policy gaps; and 2) the role of the private and the public sectors in capacity building (i.e., physical capital and human capital).
