Educational Background
Dr. Madeleine Balane-Estabillo holds a double degree in BS Applied Economics and BS Commerce, Major in Management of Financial Institutions from De La Salle University-Manila. She earned her Master’s degree from the University of York, United Kingdom, and completed her PhD at De La Salle University-Manila, spending her final year as a visiting research student at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Her research focuses on Corporate Finance, Behavioral Finance, and Development Economics, exploring the dynamics of financial decision-making, governance structures, and economic development. In addition to her research, she teaches Introduction to Microeconomics, Financial Statement Analysis, and Financial Economics, equipping students with a strong foundation in economic principles and financial analysis.
