Gerome Vedeja

Lecturer

Yom has been teaching economics since 2015, with experience spanning both the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and various undergraduate courses. He holds a Masters in Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University and has also taken units in International Development and Economics at the University of San Francisco under the Jesuit Educational Exchange Program (JEEP). With a BA in Political Science from the University of the Philippines Manila, Yom also brings a multidisciplinary approach to teaching and research. Some of his previous research work include economic modelling on the economic losses of COVID-19 and industry analysis of the music industry. His academic interests include game theory, urban economics, welfare economics, and political economy. Dedicated to fostering critical thinking, Yom encourages students to connect economic theories with real-world applications. Outside the classroom, Yom is a multi-sports athlete and a concert junkie.
