 Sixtus Dane A. Ramos, PhD is a clinical psychologist and international certified addiction professional practicing addiction treatment, relapse prevention, and trauma-informed care. He also teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Psychology. He has published studies on trauma, substance use disorder treatment, therapeutic communities for addiction, and locus-of-hope in Scopus-Indexed journals. He developed and tested one of the first locus-of-hope interventions that boosted recovery outcomes of people with substance use problems in a therapeutic community. He is an active member of the Psychology of Hope and Well-being Lab at De La Salle University (HopeLab@DLSU). His current research focuses on adapting the locus-of-hope intervention for other vulnerable populations, developing positive recovery-oriented approaches for substance use disorders, and positive interventions in education.
