 Shayne Polias holds a PhD in Psychology from Liverpool Hope University. Her research focuses on interpersonal emotion regulation, with particular interest in affect worsening (inducing or amplifying emotions in others), the cultural influences on emotion regulation, its impact on wellbeing, and human development. Before transitioning to higher education, Shayne worked as a basic education teacher, bringing a unique perspective to her academic work.
