 Dr. Homer J. Yabut is an Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology, Director of Social Development Research Center and Assistant Dean for Research and Advanced Studies of the College of Liberal Arts of De La Salle University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from De La Salle University. He teaches Social Psychology and Statistics, and Research in both undergraduate and graduate courses. He is a licensed psychologist and a certified social psychologist. His research includes topics about religion and spirituality, collective actions, religious mass gatherings, and political psychology. He has also conducted internationally and locally funded research about maternal and neonatal health services, scholarships in the Philippines, indigenous cultures in the Philippines, and DSWD case management systems and practices. He is a member of the Asian Association of Social Psychology (AASP), Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP) and Pambansang Samahan sa Sikolohiyang Pilipino (PSSP). Previously, he was affiliated with Mahidol University (Thailand) and Sophia University (Japan) as an Associate Visiting Professor.
