Napoleon M. Mabaquiao, Jr., is a Distinguished Full Professor at the Department of Philosophy at DLSU Manila. He has previously served as the department chair and graduate program coordinator. He taught at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, for several years before becoming a faculty member of DLSU, Manila. He was a visiting professor at Mahidol University, Thailand, in 2014. He serves as the associate editor of Philosophia: International Journal of Philosophy, a handling editor of Cognitive Processing, and an editorial consultant for Kritike. He specializes in ethics, philosophy of language, and philosophy of mind, and has published philosophical essays and books in both English and Filipino. His book Mind, Science, and Computation (foreworded by Tim Crane, 2012) was a finalist in the 2013 National Book Award, while his book, Ang Mabuting Kita: Mga Isyu ng Etika sa Negosyo (The Good Profit: Ethical Issues in Business, foreworded by Tereso Tullao, 2022), won the 2024 NAST (National Academy of Science and Technology) outstanding book award.
