Master of Arts in International Studies, Major in Asian Studies
The Asian Studies track offers a comprehensive knowledge of International Relations with a more specific focus on East and Southeast Asia. The multi-disciplinary character of the track allows for a proficiency and knowledge of Asia with a distinctive combination of the social sciences and the humanities. In addition, students can choose from at least one area of concentration. The aim of the Asian Studies track is to prepare students to meet the demand for area specialists by fostering knowledge of the region’s history, culture, politics, and economics, and enhancing critical thinking and applied skills to respond to the growing challenges of the region. 

The Asian Studies program is packaged to suit the needs of students and prepare them to pursue either continue a PhD or a career in business, international organizations, government, as well as cultural and think-tank organizations.

Master of Arts in International Studies, Major in European Studies
The European Studies track combines a broad background in International Relations with a more specific focus on the process of European integration. The program takes into consideration that the Philippines and the members of the European Union share common ideals: a belief that economic development can be best attained through a market economy, a respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, an adherence to democratic ideals and institutions, and an external policy based on regionalism as a means of fostering peace and cooperation in world affairs.

The European Studies track is designed not only to enable students to acquire in-depth knowledge of the historical, political, and economic dimensions of European integration, but also to develop analytical skills that will equip them to respond to new challenges – both intellectual and professional – that the evolution of the European Union poses for its partners.
