England Castro is a registered psychologist and psychometrician. He completed both his undergraduate and graduate degrees with honors from Saint Louis University. He is currently finishing his PhD in Clinical Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University. Since 2015, he has been actively teaching Psychology, initially at Saint Louis University, University of the Philippines – Baguio, and currently at De La Salle University. He also works as a psychotherapist employing humanistic and existential therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, hypnotherapy, and creative approaches to therapy. England is also involved in various research projects, where he has presented papers in local and international conferences. While his primary focus lies in clinical psychology, England’s research interests extend to political psychology, critical discursive psychology, psychology of space, critical masculinities, and qualitative psychology. He is also active in community work, particularly on advocating for community mental health, education, and furthering social justice. England is currently the chairperson of the Social Psychology Division of the Psychological Association of the Philippines.
