University Vision-Mission Week 2024: Deepening the Mission to Care

On June 28, 2024, the University Vision-Mission Week featured a significant event titled “Community Partners’ Formation: Deepening the Mission to Care,” organized by the Center for Social Concern and Action (COSCA) and the Laguna Mission Office (LMO). Held virtually via Zoom, this gathering brought together 132 participants, including community partners from both COSCA and LMO, as well as COSCA and LMO staff members.

The event was marked by the participation of Br. Manuel Pajarillo, who served as the resource person. His session introduced participants to the see-judge-pray-act framework, a method that fosters reflective and action-oriented approaches to community issues. This framework inspired the attendees to evaluate their surroundings critically, reflect on their observations, pray for guidance, and take appropriate action.

One of the highlights of Br. Pajarillo’s session was his emphasis on the benefits of native plants and trees. He showcased various species, highlighting their aesthetic, environmental, and medicinal values.

The event also provided a platform for different organizations to showcase their programs and projects. Participants had the opportunity to interact and share their insights during breakout room sessions, facilitated by Teacher Liezle of Timbao Elementary School. This segment allowed attendees to exchange ideas, discuss challenges, and explore potential collaborations.
