Lasallian Partners’ Bazaar 2024 Brings Communities Together
De La Salle University hosted the Lasallian Partners’ Bazaar 2024 on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at SJ Walk and Miguel Halls. Organized by the Center for Social Concern and Action (COSCA) as part of Lasallian Mission Week, the event showcased the products and advocacies of partner organizations while providing a platform for them to generate income and build connections with the Lasallian community.
The bazaar featured ten partner organizations: Bukluran ng mga Migranteng Manggagawa at Kapamilya (BMMK), Unbound Quezon’s Malikhaing Kamay and ShareLife Consumer Cooperative, Upskills+ Foundation Inc., Education and Research Development Assistance Foundation Inc. (ERDA), Gabay ng mga Nakatatanda sa Pamayanan (GANAP), Alyansa Mamamayan sa Caloocan Housing Cooperative (AMCHC), Ugnayan ng Maralita sa Pasay (UMALPAS), Kababaihang Yumayabong Tungo sa Kagalingan Inc. (Kayumanggi-Valenzuela Chapter), and Stop Kaliwa Dam Network. These organizations offered a variety of handmade goods, sustainable products, and advocacy-driven items.
The event went beyond sales, fostering solidarity between the Lasallian community and its partner organizations. It underscored the university’s commitment to inclusive development and social engagement through initiatives like Service-Learning (SL) Program, NSTP, and the LSEED Center, empowering marginalized sectors and promoting sustainable livelihoods.
