DLSU ALS Learners Successfully Complete DepEd Revalida

Manila, Philippines – A total of 23 learners from De La Salle University Manila’s Alternative Learning System (ALS) program successfully passed the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Revalida held on April 28, 2024, at the John Gokongwei Sr. Hall.

The revalida is a requirement for all ALS learners seeking DepEd certification to complete the program. It ensures learners have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge equivalent to the DepEd’s K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum.

The DepEd Revalida consisted of three parts: a writing test in Filipino and English, an oral reading test in both languages, and an interview with a DepEd Educational Program Specialist. During the interview, learners discussed their personal experiences in the ALS program, their lives, and their plans for the future.

To pass, learners must score at least 28 points across all sections, including points from their previously submitted work samples.

DLSU, through its Center for Social Concern and Action (COSCA), has been at the forefront of providing accessible and relevant education through the Lasallian Accessible, Relevant, and Alternative Learning (L-ARAL) program.
