All Smiles. Members of Duyog Marawi pose jubilantly after completing the 5-day Fundamentals of Marketing Training.

Last June 14-18, 2021, the Center for Social Concern and Action (COSCA) in partnership with the Marketing and Advertising Department (MAD) and De La Salle Philippines (DLSP) held a Fundamentals of Marketing Training for members of Duyog Marawi.

Faculty members from the Marketing Department oriented Team Bazaar, Team Fresh Products, and Team Dress Shop with the basics of Product, Price, Place, and Promotion. Group consultations were also held with each team to firm up the marketing plans they presented during the last day of the training.

Communion in Mission. Training organizers, participants, and partners overcame mobility restrictions and successfully conducted the training through the use of teleconferencing apps and social media groups.

The training was graced by DLSP President, Mr. Edgar Chua, RVR College of Business Dean Emilina Sarreal, La and Salle Iligan OIC President, Mr. Jay Velez. Representatives from La Salle Schools comprising the Livelihood Cluster of DLSP’s Education-in-Emergencies program were also in attendance.

COSCA, MAD, and DLSP will accompany the three teams in implementing the marketing plans developed during the workshop. Duyog Marawi is a Church-based and interfaith dialogical response to the Marawi Crisis in Partnership with the Redemptorist Missionaries.

Find out more about the rich culture and heritage of Marawi by checking out their intricately designed and handcrafted merchandise in their online store. Learn more about their projects and advocacies through the group’s website.
