Last February 1, 2010, Professor Torsten N. Wiesel, 1981 Nobel Laureate for Medicine, came to De La Salle University and delivered a public lecture titled "Science for Peace." He is the fourth Nobel Prize winner to visit the University under the program Bridges: Dialogues Towards a Culture of Peace hosted through the International Peace Foundation.
Attendees to this lecture are leaders of educational institutions, professional, government and non-government organizations, and other groups at the forefront of science, engineering and medicine. Members of the National Academy of Science and Technology as well as the technical panels of DOST, CHED, and DepEd will also grace the event.
The lecture was held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Teresa Yuchengco Theater.
