Francis is a faculty of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and a member of the Graph Theory Research Group at the De La Salle University. His current research works focus on graph labeling, spectral graph theory, and topological indices of graphs which can be applied to Mathematical Chemistry and Network Theory. He has completed several Research Schools (Graph Labellings and Decompositions [2014], Graphs, Codes, and Design [2013], Semidefinite Programming in Algebraic Combinatorics [2009]) organized by the Centre International de Mathématiques Pures et Appliquées (CIMPA). He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the De La Salle University, with his dissertation conducted under  Professor Eiichi Bannai and Professor Ederlina Nocon through the Philippines’ Commission on Higher Education Ph.D. Sandwich Program. He also has a Master of Science degree in Mathematics and two Bachelor of Science degrees. A Bachelor of Science in Mathematics major in Actuarial Science and Statistics and a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Statistics from the De La Salle University.
