Ang Pilosopiya ng Edukasyon ni Emerita S. Quito / The Philosophy of Education of Emerita S. Quito

Abstrak
Layunin ng papel na ito na ipakita ang Pilosopiya ng Edukasyon ni Emerita S. Quito na nakasandal sa Makabayang Pilosopiya tungo sa pagbabago ng lipunan. May dalawang yugto ang papel na ito. Ang una ay ang paglalathala ng kaniyang pilosopiya ng edukasyon na nahahati sa limang bahagi: a) teorya ng edukasyon, b) pagpapahalaga bilang pundasyon ng diwang Filipino, c) wika at edukasyon, d) kurikulum para sa edukasyong Filipino, at e) edukasyon at ang posibilidad ng bagong kultura at kamalayan. Samantálang ang ikalawang yugto ay pagsipat sa posibilidad ng pilosopiya ng edukasyong ito sa likod ng kasalukuyang diskurso at kalagayan ng bansa, ang Globalisasyon.

This paper aims to show Emerita S. Quito’s Philosophy of Education for the Filipinos which is centered on nationalist sentiment towards social reconstruction. This paper has two stages. The first is the discussion of her philosophy of education which is divided into five parts which are: a) theory of education, b) values as basis for Filipino-diwa, c) language and education, d) curriculum for Filipino education, and e) education and the possibility of new culture and consciousness. Then the second stage is the analysis of the possibility of her philosophy of education in the backdrop of current discourse and state of the country— globalization.
