Keeping a humble spirit

Mr. Danilo K. Dimayuga (Accounting ‘56), a native from Lipa, Batangas, has been blessed beyond his expectations.

His work experience in a government bank and in sales and marketing companies across various industries paved the way for him to establish his own semiconductor marketing and service company.  After retirement, a group of friends dared to challenge the control of imported reconstituted powdered milk. Together, they established a modern fresh milk dairy farm and production facility.

Last September 21, 2022, St. Matthew Gymnasium was formally inaugurated at the DLSU Laguna Campus on St. Matthew’s feast day.  To reciprocate the family’s generosity, DLSU named the international standard basketball court of the gymnasium, the Dimayuga Court.

“I did not expect this recognition to be given this honor, a humbling experience initiated by Brother Bernie,” Danny said.

Aside from his support to his alma mater, Danny donated a property in Padre Garcia, Batangas, fourteen years ago and developed a Gawad Kalinga village with 77 houses. He helped them organize their cooperative and establish a preschool. He continues to give advice and operational suggestions for improvement to the beneficiaries, who look forward to “Tito Danny’s” visits in their social hall.

To date, the Dimayugas continue to support the Holy Apostles Senior Seminary for late vocations, founded by the Archdiocese of Manila. Several of their scholars have since graduated and are assigned priests to various parishes around the country.

Danny and his wife, Charito, are 64 years married and long-standing members of MAGIS DEO, a community for spiritual growth and service.  They are blessed with five daughters – Rian, Ginny, Margie, Tammy, Cindy – and a son, JB.
