De La Salle University is the lone Philippine HEI that is ranked in Philosophy according to the 2026 QS World University Rankings by Subject, placing it in the 151-200 bracket.  

DLSU is also the top Philippine private university in Politics (301-400) and English Language & Literature (201-250). 

Moreover, it improved its rankings in the broad subject areas of Arts and Humanities (=365) and Social Sciences and Management (=382).

In the same rankings, La Salle is the country’s top HEI in Business & Management Studies (401-450) and Education and Training (351-400). 

The University is also the leading private university in the Philippines in the areas of Computer Science & Information Systems (551-600), Economics and Econometrics (451-500), and  English Language and Literature (201-250).

QS employs the following metrics to evaluate the subject rankings: Reputation indicators which are based on the responses of more than 200,000 employers and academics to QS surveys; Citations per Paper and H-Index which measure research impact and productivity; and International Research Network which assesses cross-border research collaboration.
