First SDRC Core Group Meeting

On January 17, 2024, the Social Development Research Center (SDRC) convened its inaugural core group meeting to deliberate upon and evaluate the recently devised 2023 – 2027 Strategic Plan, focusing on its specific strategic objectives, vision, and mandate.

SDRC Director, Dr. Homer Yabut was accompanied by several members of the core group, namely Dr. Allan Bernardo, Dr. Pilar Jimenez, Dr. Maria Caridad Tarroja, and Dr. Cheryll Ruth Soriano, in addition to several core staff members.

Informed by the outcomes of the Strategic Planning Workshop held in December 2023, the assembly critically assessed the articulated strategic objectives and proposed potential measures for SDRC to realize its goals by 2027. Simultaneously, the group explored strategies to harmonize these objectives and actions with the overarching Jubilee Strategy of De La Salle University.

Dr. Yabut envisions conducting a core group meeting per academic term, underscoring the commitment to monitor progress, provide incisive insights, and offer new recommendations to fortify the pursuit of these strategic goals.
