Blessing in time of pandemic

Ynna Louise, BS Accountancy student, exclaimed with gratitude when she surprisingly received a new laptop delivered right next to her doorstep in Bataan last trimester in the middle of the general community quarantine (GCQ) due to pandemic.  The associate dean of the DLSU OSA himself accompanied the team to personally give the gadget.

Ynna considers her new laptop a “big help” for her studies especially in the demand of online learning. The laptop will be her “partner” in doing school requirements and other tasks she needs to accomplish. She said,

With this, I can now do papers, homework, and projects in school during my  free time without asking my friends to lend me their laptop or iPad. This gadget will now be my companion during my late-night reviews and research times. All in all, this program enables me to be more productive as a student. It helps me achieve my dreams in life.”

Ynna values education and wants to make her parents proud and to “help them financially in the future.” It is why she opted to enrol in a school that will guarantee quality education as a scholar – a way to lessen the financial burden of her parents in providing tuition fees. She concluded the conversation saying,

Being a college student is tough and being ‘not-so-privileged’ makes it tougher, but what drives me to do well in my studies is my dream of becoming a CPA and my goal of providing my family the life they truly deserve.”

Ynna Louise is one among ten scholars who received new laptops from the DLSU OSA in partnership with the Acer-Intel Scholar Program.
