Shifting

The term “shifting” refers to a transfer from one program to another of the same level. A level may refer to baccalaureate, masters, doctoral, or diploma/certificate (non-degree).

Schedules

The shifting schedules can be accessed in this link. This is usually updated after the Finals Week.

General Shifting Policies

  1. An applicant must have two (2) completed terms in the current program

  2. The approval of application to shift depends on the following:

    • All Shifting applicants from RVRCOB going to SOE will be considered for Internal Shifting Application

    • Decision of the Accepting Department/College

  3. Due to the current situation, no ITEO exam will be conducted

  4. Shifting fees include the following:

    • Application fee including Transcript of Records – PhP200.00

    • College Processing Fee – PhP50.00

  5. Colleges and departments may have additional requirements and policies

  6. Students may shift to programs offered either in Manila campus or Laguna campus

  7. The online form can only be accessed once per term. Thus, it is expected that the student has already verified that the program applied for is offered in the following term.

  8. Starting Term 1, AY 2019-2020, each student is only allowed to apply for a maximum of two (2) programs per term.

  1. All courses taken at De La Salle University are reflected in the Transcript of Records

  2. Grades for these courses are included in the computation of the Term and Cumulative GPA

  3. Qualification for honors and awards reckons with the entire academic performance of the student at De La Salle University, regardless of shifting

  4. Academic departments may impose conditions and requirements for approval of shifting applications.

Shifting Application Procedure

  1. Check Clearance in Animo.Sys (See Steps to Check Clearance below)
    The shifting application and shifting payment (which is considered non-refundable) will be deemed CANCELLED WITHOUT REFUND if hold status was incurred during the processing of the shifting application.
  2. Access Online Form

    Access and fill out Google Form of your current college and attach necessary documents (valid ID of PGOR or Parent/Guardian on Record):

  3. Wait for Updates from your Sending or Current College
    1. Evaluation of the Sending or Current College APOs
    2. Endorsement of the Sending or Current College/Academic Department
  4. Payment of Shifting Fee Php 250.00
    Once application has been evaluated and cleared, the following will be received:

    • payment instructions

    • assessment for the shifting fee payment

    • a google link where the student will upload a copy of the receipt once paid

    Students have 4 working days after release of assessment to pay and upload the proof of payment. Students may pay at the bank (Metrobank, Unionbank, UCPB) via over the counter bills payment slip (BPS).

    • Account: De La Salle University

    • Payer: Name of Student/For Shifting Application

    • Reference Number: Student’s ID Number

    * Shifting application fee is non-refundable

  5. Evaluation and Approval from Accepting College

    1. Evaluation of Accepting College/Academic Department
      Shifting applicants/students shall be informed by the Sending College/Academic Department via email that their applications shall be forwarded to Accepting Department Chair/AD for evaluation and decision

    2. Approval from Accepting Associate Dean/Department Chair

       

  6. Posting of Shifting Results

    The Academic Department / College / School will release the result, shifting applicants/students shall be informed via email or through an announcement once their application has been approved.

    Students with two approved applications must inform the Department/College which application will be cancelled.

  7. Check Degree Program in MLS Account

    The degree code of the approved program must be reflected, otherwise please send email to [email protected]

    Enroll courses for the approved program during the online enrollment period. Schedule is posted at https://www.dlsu.edu.ph/offices/registrar/schedules/
