Sharing of Ideas: SDRC and the Notre Dame of Dadiangas University

On July 29, 2024, the Social Develop Research Center (SDRC) hosted esteemed guests from Notre Dame of Dadiangas University (NDDU), including members of the administrative and academic faculty. This gathering marked a significant milestone in the Benchmarking Activity between the DLSU’s College of Liberal Arts and NDDU.

Guided by Dr Myla Arcinas, DLSU CLA’s Quality Assurance Director and Associate Professor, the guests were greeted with an array of the Center’s published projects in the conference room, which the guests perused.

Their visit commenced with a captivating video presentation commemorating the SDRC’s 45th Anniversary. Subsequently, the guests received a brief overview of the Center from Joanna Cayton-Velante, the Coordinator for Research Dissemination and Publication. This introduction shed light on the Center’s Mission-Vision, various programs, notable outputs, and best practices. The distinguished guests were encouraged to engage in dialogue, posing questions to the SDRC staff and fostering an enriching exchange.

As a token of appreciation, Dr. Gaudy Ortizo, the Dean of Notre Dame’s Graduate School, was presented with a collection of published books by the SDRC, culminating in a short photo opportunity. Each participant was gifted with bundles of published works, marking the end of the enlightening interaction.
