SDRC Hosts Online Workshop on Power BI
The Social Development Research Center (SDRC) hosted a two-part online workshop titled “Training on Data Automation and Reporting with Visualization using Microsoft PowerBI” last April 3 and 17. The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Marshall Valencia, President and Director for Research and Analytics of Premier Value Provider, Inc.
The goal of this workshop was to train the participants with the knowledge and ability to automate data processes, utilize digital tools for efficient decision-making, and create engaging visual reports. Moreover, this specific workshop intended to equip attendees with proficiency in using Microsoft Power BI. The first part discussed data automation, Power BI, data preparation and cleaning, and data visualization. The second part then tackled advanced data visualization and visualization techniques, as well as creating interactive dashboards.
The workshops were attended by staff members and directors from SDRC, the Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance (JRIG), and the College of Liberal Arts (CLA), as well as interns from the respective offices.
The workshop will hopefully push the respective offices to create interactive dashboards that summarizes and automates reports and progresses in projects needed to be tracked.
