St. La Salle Financial Assistance Grant for Incoming First Year Students AY 2027-2028

De La Salle University offers financial assistance under the St. La Salle Financial Assistance Grant (SLS Grant) to students who are academically competent but financially challenged. 

The application period for the SLS Grant opens simultaneously with the application period for first-year college admissions at De La Salle University. Special DLSU College Admissions Test (DCAT) applicants may also submit their application for a financial assistance grant.

The Undergraduate Scholarship Committee selects the scholars based on demonstrated financial need, academic standing, and competence.  The St. La Salle Financial Assistance Grant can be awarded to only one member of a family.

The University structures its flagship St. La Salle Financial Assistance Grant into six distinct tiers based on your verified annual family income.

• Tier 2: Annual family income between ₱450K to ₱1M

• Tier 3: Annual family income between ₱1M to ₱1.2M
  • 80% Tuition & Fees Grant
• Tier 4: Annual family income between ₱1.2M to ₱1.4M
  • 60% Tuition & Fees Grant
• Tier 5: Annual family income between ₱1.4M to ₱1.6M
  • 40% Tuition & Fees Grant
• Tier 6: Annual family income between ₱1.6M to ₱1.8M
  • 20% Tuition & Fees Grant

Awarding of scholarship percentage is based on combined criteria from DCAT results, high school standing, family’s total annual gross income, and accepted academic degree program at DLSU. 

It must be noted that acceptance to the University does not guarantee the award of the grant; this depends on the availability of University funding and the number of scholarship slots.

Grants are renewed every trimester, provided the scholar satisfies the retention criteria detailed in the Scholarship Guidelines (distributed during the mandatory Scholars’ Orientation at the beginning of the academic year).  Grantees are expected to uphold required academic performance and adhere to policies set by the Admissions and Scholarships Office.  Eligible scholars may request an upgrade after two (2) completed terms, subject to full compliance with retention rules.

For a smooth application experience, kindly adhere to the following instructions:

1. Gather and prepare the required documents for submission.
2. Ensure that all scanned or photocopied files are clear, legible, and, where applicable, in PDF format.

2. Vicinity Map Form (the AdSO-provided form is strictly for SLS Grant applications only) 

3. Photos of the family residence (front façade/exterior view, living room, kitchen, and bedroom – with the applicant visible in the photos) 

4. Certificate of Good Moral Character (signed by the School Principal, Prefect of Discipline, or Guidance Counselor) 

5. Electricity Bill (April, May, June 2026) – If not available, upload a letter of explanation 

6. Water Bill (April, May, June 2026) – If not available, upload a letter of explanation 

7. WiFi / Internet Bill (April, May, June 2026) – If not available, upload a letter of explanation 

8. Official real property tax payment receipt for the previous year (required only if the house is fully owned and not under mortgage) 

9. Housing loan payment receipts for the past 3 months (required only if the house is mortgaged) 

10. Proof of rental payments (official receipts for the past 3 months) or a certification from the lessor (if renting) 

11. Latest BIR Form 2316 or Certificate of Employment and Compensation for 2025 (for employed parents/guardians and other household members providing financial support) 

12. BIR Certificate of Exemption from filing Income Tax Return or Certificate of Unemployment from the Municipal/Barangay Hall (if parents/guardians are unemployed)

3. The CONFORME section of the online application portal must be answered before submitting the online application form.
4. Once scholars see the notification “Record Submitted Successfully” appear on the screen, the online form has been recorded in the portal. No need to send an email to request for confirmation of submission.

1. The application for financial assistance will not be processed unless all required documents have been provided.
2. For any missing document (s) that cannot be provided, the applicant must submit a letter of explanation for non-submission. The letter must be addressed to the Director of AdSO and uploaded to the required field in the application form or portal.
3. Applicants with a gross family income exceeding PhP1.8M may still submit their application. The University, however, reserves the right to evaluate applications based on a comprehensive review of the information provided during application and the accompanying Essay.
4. Only qualified applicants (accepted in 1st, 2nd, 3rd choice, and redirected to other programs) are allowed to apply for the SLS Grant.
