Alvarez Foundation Scholarship Program

Scholarship Highlights and Benefits
  1. Alvarez Foundation Philippines (AFPI) will cover the Tuition and Fees.
  2. The student will receive an allowance per term.
  3. All AFPI scholars are automatically included in the AFPI Mentoring Program.
Eligibility Requirements
  1. Be a candidate for high school graduation.
  2. Have no grade lower than 85% with a general average of 85% throughout High School.
  3. Active involvement in extracurricular and/or community activities.
  4. Annual household/family income not higher than PHP 500,000.00.
  5. In good moral standing with no disciplinary action all throughout high school.
  6. Must have already applied to at least one university

Alvarez Foundation-DLSU Scholarship Application AY 2024-2025

 

Recommendation form
You are to submit two (2) recommendation forms via email. The first recommendation form should be filled out by your High School Principal. The second recommendation form should be filled out by any of the following: a) High School adviser, b) High School teacher or c) guidance counselor. Preferably choose the person who knows you best.

The completed forms should be emailed to AFPI directly by your principal/adviser/guidance counselor. Please refer to the Recommendation Form pdf for instructions.

 

Documentary Requirements
Submit completed supporting documents in a sealed large brown envelope to your school’s AFPI point person. The contents of the envelope are the following:

 

  • Electric bill for the last 3 months
  • Water bill for the last 3 months
  • Phone bill for the last 3 months
  • Cellular phone bill for the last 3 months
  • OR of realty tax payment for houses that are owned and mortgaged
  • OR of housing loan amortization for the last 3 months if house is owned but mortgaged
  • OR for rental payment for the last 3 months if renting
  • ITR and COE with compensation for parents/household members who are working
  • If parents or guardians are unemployed, Certificate of Exemption from filing of ITR from the BIR or Certificate of unemployment from the Barangay
  • Proof of University application submission and testing date/s
  • High school report card
  • Proof of acceptance to university/universities (to be submitted by July 20, 2023)

 

ONLY COMPLETE APPLICATIONS will be considered for the interview.

Scholarship Program Assessment

Alvarez Foundation Scholars are asked to sign a Scholarship Acceptance Agreement every year. To stay in the program, all scholars are required to maintain a minimum term GPA of 2.5 or its equivalent, a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or its equivalent, with no subject grade lower than 2.0 or its equivalent in any term/semester. Scholars are also expected to maintain good moral standing throughout their stay in their university and ensure that they do not receive any disciplinary action while in the program.
