Dr. Homer J. Yabut is a licensed psychologist, certified social psychologist, and an associate professor of the Psychology Department of the DLSU College of Liberal Arts, from which he obtained his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology major in Industrial Counseling and M.S. Psychology major in Clinical Psychology. His research interests are in religion and spirituality, collective actions, religious mass gatherings, and political psychology. He is the project director of the SDRC study “Comprehensive Mapping, Assessment and Enrichment of the DSWD Case Management Systems and Practices” and has previously been a research associate in the Center’s studies “Communication Analysis on Material and Neonatal Health with Emphasis on the Role of Community Health Teams in Facilitating the Adoption of Positive Behaviors in the Context of Conflict and Rapid Urbanization in Selected LGUs,” “Reclaiming Filipino Indigenous Cultures through Teaching and Learning,” “Comprehensive Study on Scholarship and Student Financial Assistance Programs in the Philippines,” and “Health Facility Assessment of Zuellig Family Foundation’s Donated Barangay Health Stations and Birthing Units: Progress Report and Initial Assessment.” He is currently chair of the Psychological Association of the Philippines Central Luzon Chapter (PAPCLC).
