Dr. Dennis S. Erasga

Dr. Dennis S. Erasga is a full professor at the Behavioral Sciences Department of the DLSU College of Liberal Arts and an SDRC research fellow. He obtained his B.A. and M.A. in Sociology and his Ph.D. in Environmental Science at the University of the Philippines-Los Baños. His areas of research interest are in environmental sociology, ecocriticism, social theory, and discourse analysis. At SDRC, Dr. Erasga was the project director for the study “Whose Health, Whose Vulnerability?:  A Stakeholder Approach in Assessing Health-Related Vulnerability and Adaptation in the Philippines” and was an associate on the research team for the “Comprehensive Study on Scholarship and Financial Assistance Programs in the Philippines.” He is a member of the Canadian Sociological Association, the Philippine Sociological Association (PSA), the American Sociological Association (ASA), the International Sociological Association (ISA), and the International Institute of Sociology (IIS).
