Prof. Cristina A. Rodriguez is a research fellow at SDRC and at the Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance of De La Salle University. Prior to her retirement was an assistant professor and former chair of the Behavioral Sciences Department of the DLSU College of Liberal Arts.  She obtained her M.A. degree in Demography from Xavier University. She has been a visiting researcher in reproductive health at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in England, and has been involved as a  consultant and researcher in a number of projects of  various organizations, both local and international, such as the USAID, AUSAID,WHO, Department of Health,  PBSP, UNFPA, and UNDP. She has participated in research involving child health and nutrition, environment, migration, civil society organizations, and voters’ behavior and empowerment. She has headed the SDRC projects “Assessment on Women’s Reproductive Health/Family Planning Needs in BASECO, Intramuros, Manila” and “Multi-Indication Cluster Survey in Pasig City”; was co-investigator with Dr. Trinidad S. Osteria in the study “Implications of Contraceptive Use for the Welfare of Women and their Families in the Philippines: Secondary Analysis of the 1993 National Demographic Survey”; and more recently has been a member of the research teams for the studies “Developing Competencies of Middle Level Health Workers and Maximizing Their Roles in Task-Sharing in the Philippines,” “Communication Analysis of Maternal and Neonatal Health with Emphasis on the Role of Community Health Teams in Facilitating the Adoption of Positive Behaviors in the Context of Conflict and Rapid Urbanization in Selected LGUs in Mindanao and Quezon City,” and “Health Facility Assessment on Zuellig Family Foundation’s Donated Barangay Health Stations and Birthing Units.”
