Dr. Crisanto Q. Regadio, Jr. is an associate professor and vice-chair of the Behavioral Sciences Department of the DLSU College of Liberal Arts. He obtained his Ph.D. in Sociology from DLSU, his M.S. in General Sociology from the Asian Social Institute, and his B.S. in Sociology from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. At SDRC he is currently a research associate for the project “Further Analysis of the 2018 National Migration Survey (NMS) on Trends and Patterns of Migration” and was recently an associate on the team for “Qualitative Process Evaluation of the Barangay First 1000 Days (BF1KD) and Other Right Start Component Interventions: Philippines.” He has been co-investigator in the “Mapping of Health Risks from Agents of Disasters and Extreme Events in the Philippines” and “Health Status, Health Seeking Behavior, and Access to Insurance among OFWs” studies, and was FGD facilitator and community immersion organizer in the study “Reclaiming Filipino Indigenous Cultures through Teaching and Learning.” His research interests include sociology of education, sociology of identity, sociology of happiness, sociology of health, Muslim Filipino study and other areas of inclusive and participatory development.
