Dr. Allan B.I. Bernardo is a Distinguished University Professor and University Fellow at DLSU, where he previously served as Dean of the College of Education and Vice President for Academics and Research. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Union of Psychological Science, Chairing its Standing Committee on Publication, and an Expert Advisor for the International Science Council’s Youth Mental Health Project. He has also served on key education and mental health advisory bodies in the Philippines. His research focuses on polyculturalism, mental health, social inequalities, and learning, aligning with SDGs 3, 4, and 10. A Yale PhD graduate, he has published over 300 works and has been recognized among the world’s top 2% of scientists for five consecutive years. Dr. Bernardo has held leadership roles in major psychological associations and was Chief Editor of two Q1 journals. He has received numerous international and national awards, including the UNESCO International Prize for Literacy Research, Spencer and Fulbright Fellowships, and TOYM. Elected as an Academician of the National Academy of Science and Technology in 2007, he became the first Filipino social scientist inducted into The World Academy of Sciences in 2023.
