Prof. Alicia B. Manlagnit is an assistant professor of Behavioral Science at the DLSU College of Liberal Arts and a research fellow at SDRC. She obtained her Master in Health Social Science from DLSU, and her M.A. in Medical Anthropology from the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Her expertise is in indigenous education, primary and reproductive healthcare on IUPC, social research methodology, and urbanization. She has been project director of the SDRC studies “Forced to Flee by Nature: Perceptions and Experiences of Displaced People in a Rural Philippine Municipality,” “Striving for Sustainability: Literature Review of the Filipino Experience,” and “INA (Information Nutrition Action) Programme Evaluation.” She has been a visiting researcher at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, University of Liverpool, United Kingdom; Institute National D’Etudes Demographiques (INED), Paris, France; and Institute of Population Studies, University of Exeter, United Kingdom.
