“Doe”, a term for a female goat is the main subject of this project, which is led by Prof. Nilo T. Bugtai, a professor of the Manufacturing Engineering & Management (MEM) Department and the Director of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Health Technologies (IBEHT) under De La Salle University (DLSU). The DOE Project is also working in close collaboration with the animal scientists, breeding technicians, and veterinarians from the Cagayan Valley Small Ruminant Research Center (CVSRRC) of Isabela State University. The DOE Project aims to develop an impervious wearable wireless intra-vaginal monitoring sensor prototype to assist in detecting the optimal time for Artificial Insemination (AI).
