COMMUNION

Lasallians CHAT

Lasallians CHAT is an initiative that calls on all Department and Unit heads to reach out to all their members (Faculty, APSP, ASF, CAP etc.), to check on how they are coping with our current situation and to help boost each other’s morale during this difficult time.  This may be done through call, text, email or social media platforms.

By initiating conversations to simply ask, “How are you?” and by affirming each other, we can build a strong support system as we face the challenges posed by this crisis.  We need to lean on each other and to care for one another so that our school may run well.

As Lasallians, our value of communion in mission reminds us that we must remain undivided during this time.  Together and by association, let us work towards building a loving and caring community.

#TaftLife Online Community

This initiative was created to form a community of students – undergraduate, graduate students and alumni – who were staying in the Taft area during the lockdown.  This aims to monitor and respond to the needs of the students within area. There is an estimate of 160 members in the online community.

Most common needs expressed during the period were difficulty in accessing basic needs – food, water, meals, laundry, banks etc. There were some students also expressed need for financial support. The OSA provides mechanisms to respond to these needs such as coordinating with LGUs and local partners and condominium management.

Lasallian Online Get Together

Lasallians Online Get Together is an initiative under the Balay Program that aims to foster the spirit of community in the time of social distancing. There were reflection sessions, group sharings, and online games held via Zoom to bring administrators, faculty and staff together.

#LMOnlineSaya

#LMOnlineSaya is an activity conducted by the Lasallian Mission Group to connect with members of the unit as we shift to a work-from-home set-up.

Various online activities have been held on Viber and Zoom during the quarantine period. Members of the unit also contributed to prizes that were sent to the game winners.
