Job Descriptions/Summary

The System Support Administrator is responsible for the comprehensive management, administration, and operational oversight of the University’s Financial Management Systems (FMS) and other end-user systems as assigned by the IT Systems Manager 2 – FMS. This role involves coordinating system enhancements, managing problem resolution, and maintaining optimal functionality, whether the systems are hosted on-premise, in a private cloud, or as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution. The incumbent acts as a key technical resource, working with the Manager, IT Systems 2, and external vendors to ensure the systems are stable, secure, and meet the University’s academic and administrative needs.

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Relevant certifications such as ERP-specific credentials (e.g., SAP, Oracle ERP Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365), ITIL, or Vendor Management are highly preferred but not required.
  3. 2–4 years of hands-on experience in ERP system administration or enterprise application support, including at least one year of maintaining systems in different environments and working with outsourced vendors.
  4. Strong knowledge of ERP systems, architecture, modules, and business processes, with the ability to validate vendor deliverables and oversee external vendor activities.
  5. Familiarity with operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), database management (SQL, Oracle), and scripting/automation, with the capability to support validation, reporting, and system oversight.
  6. Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and vendor management skills, including SLA monitoring, technical coordination, problem-solving, and the ability to lead discussions and influence decisions.
