Director for IT Facilities Management

The Director for IT Facilities Management provides strategic leadership in planning, implementing, and maintaining the University’s IT infrastructure, technical support, and web services. Acting as the University’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the role ensures reliable, secure, and efficient technology systems that support academic and administrative operations. The Director also leads technology strategy, policy development, and resource management across IT support, infrastructure, and web management, while ensuring compliance with information security standards and regulations in collaboration with the Information Security Officer and Infrastructure Management team.

1. Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; a Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience may also be considered.
2. 5–7 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management, technical support, or IT operations, including 3–4 years in senior managerial or director-level roles, preferably in academic institutions.
3. Professional certifications in cloud computing (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator) and experience with cloud services and migration are highly desirable.
4. Proven expertise in IT infrastructure domains (networking, server administration, cloud technologies, data centers), IT service management (ITIL), and strategic planning/execution.
5. 3–4 years of direct supervisory experience, including team leadership, performance management, and professional development, with a record of building high-performing teams.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, budget oversight, and vendor management skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
