Enhancing Photography Skills at the SDRC Workshop
Documenting our projects and events through high-quality photographs is crucial not only for record-keeping but also for sharing our achievements and progress with a broader audience.
The SDRC Photography Workshop, held on August 1 and 2, 2004, was a wonderful opportunity to enhance our skills in capturing the essence of our efforts. This activity was facilitated by Mr. Magsy Magbanua, the Multimedia Coordinator of STRATCOM.
On Day 1, participants were introduced to basic photography concepts, such as various camera types, composition rules, lighting basics, and best practices and techniques for event photography. This newfound understanding of concepts was put into practice on Day 2, where attendees documented another SDRC event, the Brownbag Session and Fellowship with SDRC Fellows and Researchers, which featured Dr. Jerome V. Cleofas of the Department of Sociology and Behavioral Sciences. The practice activity was followed by a Snapseed tutorial and photo evaluation and critique. The workshop concluded with the awarding of certificates to participants.
