DLSU opens Dr. Andrew L. Tan Data Science Institute on McKinley Hill

De La Salle University and property giant Megaworld Corporation inaugurated the Dr. Andrew L. Tan Data Science Institute at the DLSU McKinley Microcampus located at the Venice Corporate Center in McKinley Hill, Taguig City last February 1.
The Institute is named after innovator and brand builder, Megaworld’s CEO and Chairman Dr. Andrew L. Tan.
ALTDSI capitalizes on the state-of-the-art facilities donated by Megaworld Corporation and the Megaworld Foundation, while DLSU faculty-researchers and visiting professors sustain ALTDSI research-based graduate programs, undergraduate programs, and training and professional courses.
The inauguration was led by DLSU President Br. Bernard Oca FSC and DLSU Science Foundation Inc. President Br Raymundo Suplido FSC. Joining them are Dr. Francisco Canuto, President of Megaworld Foundation and Senior Vice President of Megaworld, and Eric Enriquez, Vice President for Megaworld Premier Offices, who led the company’s delegation on behalf of Alliance Global Group Chief Executive Officer Kevin L. Tan and Megaworld Chairman Dr. Andrew L. Tan.
In his message, Br. Bernie shared his utmost appreciation to Dr. Andrew Tan and his son, Kevin, for this legacy: “Today’s inauguration did not only further add to our institution’s luster as one of the institutions with a solid research program, but also aid in our institution’s goal towards being a resource for the nation.”
Br. Bernie also underscored DLSU’s commitment to provide an excellent, service-oriented, and transformative education as well as to train the next generation workforce of data scientists.
