Job Descriptions/Summary

The Business Analyst serves as a critical link between the university’s business units and the IT development and project teams. This role is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, communicating, and validating requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. The Business Analyst plays a key part in ensuring that IT solutions effectively address business needs, optimize operational workflows, and deliver strategic value to the university. This position works within the IT-PMO to support project success from initiation through implementation.

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred. Relevant certifications (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) are a plus.
  2. 2–4 years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst in an IT or project-driven environment, with proven experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
  3. Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and familiarity with database concepts and system integration principles.
  4. Strong knowledge of business analysis techniques and tools, including use cases, user stories, process flows, and wireframes.
  5. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business problems into clear technical requirements.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with strong presentation and facilitation capabilities.
