RMCA – Governance and Ethics

Governance and ethics programs foster a culture of transparency and accountability across De La Salle University. We provide the resources and training necessary to ensure that every member of the Lasallian community can navigate their roles with ethical clarity.

To ensure compliance awareness, we maintain a centralized, online repository of all consolidated and validated University policy documents. This serves as the single source of truth for institutional guidelines.

These programs focus on the accuracy and reliability of the University’s fiscal health.

  1. Financial Audit: An evaluation of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance. Key focus areas include mathematical accuracy, FS analysis, payroll reviews, bank reconciliations, and testing of unusual account movements.
  2. Audit of Project Fund Financial Reports: Specialized audits for externally funded projects. We verify annual and final financial reports to ensure compliance with contractual agreements before they are submitted to funding agencies.

These interactive training sessions are designed to equip University stakeholders with the practical knowledge needed to meet their compliance obligations. Topics for AY 2025–2026:

  • University Code of Ethical Conduct: Understanding our core values in action.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating institutional vulnerabilities.
  • Disposal of Surplus Assets & Scrap: Ensuring transparency in asset management.

Learning continues beyond the classroom. We develop specialized courses hosted on Canvas under the module “Navigating Workplace Policies: Your Guide to Compliance.” These courses are typically launched following a Compliance Hour session to reinforce key takeaways.

In alignment with the broader Lasallian network, we perform ongoing monitoring and reassessment against the minimum standards set by De La Salle Philippines (DLSP). This ensures that DLSU remains consistent with the foundational excellence expected of all Lasallian institutions.
