St. La Salle Financial Assistance Grant for Incoming First Year Students AY 2026-2027
General Guidelines
Applications for the St. La Salle Financial Assistance Grant (SLS Grant) for AY 2026-2027 will be accepted online starting the third week of April 2026.
De La Salle University offers financial assistance under the St. La Salle Financial Assistance Grant (SLS Grant) to students who meet specific criteria for eligibility.
The application period for the St. La Salle Financial Assistance Grant (SLS Grant) will commence after the Admissions and Scholarships Office (AdSO) releases the list of accepted first-year college applicants.
To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must first pass the DLSU College Admissions Test (DCAT). Results of the scholarship application will be released before the scheduled date of confirmation of enrolment.
Recipients are chosen by the Undergraduate Scholarship Committee based on:
- Demonstrated Financial Need — Applicants qualify for varying levels of scholarship coverage depending on annual family income:
• Under ₱450,000: Full coverage (100% tuition & fees + stipend)
• ₱450,000 to ₱1,000,000: Full coverage (100% tuition & fees)
• ₱1,000,001 to ₱1,800,000: Partial coverage
- Academic Competence — Evaluation of high school academic records and overall performance.
The grant can be awarded to only one member of a family.
The SLS Grant offers scholars with varying levels of coverage:
- Full scholarship equivalent to 100% waiver of tuition and fees including a monthly stipend;
- Full scholarship equivalent to 100% waiver of tuition and fees;
- Partial scholarships with 20%, 40%, 60%, or 80% waiver of tuition and fees; and
- Monthly stipend for meals, dormitory or accommodation, transportation, and communication.
Benefits and Tiers of the SLS Grant
Scholars under the St. La Salle Financial Assistance Grant receive varying levels of scholarship coverage, including:
- Full coverage: 100% waiver of tuition and fees, plus a monthly stipend (for eligible highest-need cases);
- Full coverage: 100% waiver of tuition and fees;
- Partial coverage: 20%, 40%, 60%, or 80% waiver of tuition and fees;
- Monthly stipend covering meals, accommodation/dormitory, transportation, and communication needs.
It must be noted that acceptance to the University does not ensure award of the grant – awards depend on available University funding and the number of slots.
Grants are renewed every trimester provided the scholar satisfies the retention criteria detailed in the Scholarship Guidelines (distributed during the mandatory Scholars’ Orientation at the beginning of the academic year).
Grantees are expected to uphold required academic performance and adhere to AdSO policies. Eligible scholars can request an upgrade after two (2) completed terms, subject to full compliance with retention rules.

Application Procedure
For a seamless application experience, kindly adhere to the following guidelines:
Gather and prepare the required documents below. All scanned or photocopied files must be clear, legible, and in PDF format where applicable.
- One (1) recent 2×2 ID photo (must be taken within the last three (3) months)
- Personal Essay (in PDF format; refer to the essay questions and specified format via this [LINK] – to be updated soon)
- Certificate of Good Moral Character (signed by the School Principal, Prefect of Discipline, or Guidance Counselor)
- Accomplished Vicinity Map Form (the AdSO-provided form is strictly for SLS Grant applications only)
- Photos of the family residence (front façade/exterior view, living room, kitchen, and bedroom – with the applicant visible in the photos)
- Official electric bill statements for the most recent 3 months (scanned copy, digital version, or screenshot)
- Official water bill statements for the most recent 3 months (scanned copy, digital version, or screenshot)
- Official telephone bill for the most recent 3 months (scanned copy, digital version, or screenshot)
- PLDT/Wi-Fi or cellular phone bill for the most recent 3 months (for postpaid accounts only; scanned copy, digital version, or screenshot)
- Recent official real property tax payment receipt for the previous year (required only if the house is fully owned and not under mortgage)
- Recent housing loan payment receipts for the most recent 3 months (required only if the house is mortgaged)
- Proof of rental payments (official receipts for the past 3 months) or a certification from the lessor (if renting)
- Latest BIR Form 2316 or Certificate of Employment and Compensation for 2025 (for employed parents/guardians or other household members)
- BIR Certificate of Exemption from filing Income Tax Return or Certificate of Unemployment from the Municipal/Barangay Hall (if parents/guardians are unemployed)
Ensure the CONFORME and ACKNOWLEDGEMENT sections of the online application portal are fully completed before submitting.

Important Reminders
- The application for financial assistance will not be processed unless all required documents have been provided.
- For any lacking document/s that cannot be provided, the applicant must submit a letter of explanation for the non-submission of the specific document/s. The letter must be addressed to the Director of AdSO, and must be uploaded in the required field in the application form or portal.
- Applicants with a gross family income exceeding PhP1.8M may still submit their application. The University, however, reserves the right to evaluate applications based on a comprehensive review of the information provided in the St. La Salle Application Form and accompanying Essay.
- Only qualified applicants (accepted in 1st, 2nd, 3rd choice and redirected to other programs) are allowed to apply for the SLS Grant.
