Corallum very light, a cluster of proliferous corallites standing on broad base; the tallest 3.5 cm high. Buds arise near calicinal margin, usually singly.

Corallites trumpet-shaped, 6 mm across at base, 9 mm across at the top for tall peripheral corallite without bud, its height up to 2 cm. Wall very thin, delicate, presenting swellings and bumps here and there.

Calice subcircular, up to 9 mm diameter, up to 7-8 mm deep; fossa appears constricted because of broad septa.

Septa not showing Pourtales arrangement; only 2 cycles regular; very seldom tertiaries present as very low ridges or series of spines between bigger septa. Primaries hardly exsert, broad, vertical or slightly sloping towards columellar fossa; edge entire; surface marked by few vertical rows of spinules. Secondaries like primaries, only slightly narrower. Interseptal loculi very wide and deep because of fewer septa.

Costal ridges narrower than intervening furrows, with granulo-spinules, in one row or irregularly disposed, uninterrupted throughout height of colony; 12-15 per half cm. Intercostal furrows pitted irregularly.

Columella large, loose, convex cluster of twisted lamellae.
