In the coming months, you will be making one of the most important decisions of your life - choosing the right university for you.
This task is made extra challenging with what is happening in the world today. The global pandemic forced us to rethink, recalibrate, and focus on what was important in our lives. With the challenges, we discovered new things about our abilities in responding and adapting to whatever the situation requires of us.
In response to the challenges in academic learning brought about by the pandemic, De La Salle University launched the Lasallians Remote and Engaged Approach for Connectivity in Higher Education (R.E.A.C.H.). We are now responding to this situation by fully adopting an alternate mode of education that DLSU has initiated more than ten years ago, which is technology-enabled or blended learning.
For DLSU, this is the most viable and flexible alternative for our students. It emphasizes the importance of engagement between faculty and students. Learn more about Lasallians R.E.A.C.H.
DLSU will not administer the DLSU College Admission Test (DCAT) for A.Y. 2021-2022 Freshman Admissions due to the current situation in the country.
Admission to the University and the chosen degree program will be based on an applicant’s high school academic records and other criteria, such as recommendations provided by subject teachers/high school principals and guidance counselors, class rank, and all pertinent information indicated on the application form. You may view the complete admission procedures here.

As you begin your DLSU story, we invite you to explore this online viewbook to acquaint yourself with your future university including information on DLSU’s recent ranking in the 2021 Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The University retained its position in the 1,001+ bracket and remains the lone Philippine private university in the list.
DLSU ranked in five disciplines, namely: Business & Economics, Computer Science, Engineering & Technology, Physical Sciences, and Social Sciences. It is the only Philippine university that is included in the Business & Economics ranking, and is the country’s top HEI in the Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Sciences, and Social Sciences subject areas.
This year, we know the experience would be different from what you are used to but the new normal calls for a rethinking and changing of how we do things. Rest assured that DLSU will provide you and your parents the necessary programs and support to help you as you transition to your college life.
We will move forward together as we begin the journey to your future.
Welcome to De La Salle University!
The future begins here.®
Since it opened its doors on June 16, 1911, De La Salle University has pursued its commitment to the holistic development of its students who eventually contribute to the development of the Philippines.
Its topnotch faculty members who are acknowledged experts in their respective fields help prepare Lasallians to be competent professionals and responsible citizens. With its path-breaking programs and projects that underscore its vision of becoming a learner-centered and research university, DLSU continues to build on its tradition of excellence and service.
De La Salle University operates under the trimestral system. Its academic calendar consists of three (3) regular trimesters of about 14 weeks each.
Under this system students should be able to finish their studies in less time than their counterparts in the semestral program.
This is made possible by the more evenly paced schedule of subjects for each trimester. The schedule below is an overview of DLSU’s academic calendar. Specific dates can be found in the UniCalendar.
