Professor Raymund C. Sison

Professor Raymund Sison is Dean of the College of Education and former Dean of the College of Computer Studies of De La Salle University. He is a recipient of the Outstanding Teacher award of the Metrobank Foundation, and the Outstanding Young Scientist award of the National Academy of Science and Technology. As a holder of a PhD in Computer Science (focusing on machine learning and user modeling) from the Tokyo Institute of Technology and a PhD in Education (focusing on educational leadership and grounded theory) from De La Salle University, his scholarship of integration lies at the nexus of learning, technology, and service. He conceptualized and spearheads QuERST (/kwerst/), a multi-stakeholder, multi-component, and multi-phase framework for rapidly improving the quality of education in resource-challenged schools with the help of technology.
