Professor Edizon Fermin

Dr. Jerome T. Buenviaje is a licensed professional teacher, academic and management consultant, seminar-workshop speaker and facilitator, and an educational researcher. He is presently the College of Education Dean of the University of the Philippines Diliman.

He teaches Educational Administration and Educational Research courses for Masters and Doctoral programs. His teaching expertise includes Educational Leadership and Planning, Instructional Supervision, Policy Analysis in Education, and Organizational Development among others. In 2019, he was awarded with Dr. Milagros D. Ibe Teaching Excellence Award during the Gawad Kolehiyo of the UP College of Education.

As an educational researcher, one of his remarkable publications is the article, Embracing Work Passion: Perspectives of Filipino Principals and School Heads in the International Studies in Educational Administration. Recently, this research article was cited by Oxford University Press in the book, Passion for Work: Theory, Research, and Applications. He has presented scholarly works in various national and international research conferences such as the prestigious American Educational Research Association (AERA) Annual Meeting.
