Philippine President appoints Lasallian Lawyers as Prosecutors

President Rodrigo R. Duterte appointed as Assistant City Prosecutors several alumni of De La Salle University Tañada-Diokno College of Law.

Atty. Othello Mendoza II (JD ’14), Atty. Pauline Grace Intal-Pantaleon (JD ’14), and Atty. Rafael Rodrigo Esguerra (JD ’14), all members of the law school’s Primus Batch, were appointed as Assistant City Prosecutor in Caloocan City, City of Manila, and Makati City, respectively. Their appointment papers were dated 04 February 2022, 22 February 2022, and 02 March 2022.

Before his appointment, Atty. Mendoza worked as Assistant Section Head at the Public Attorney’s Office. Atty. Mendoza is also a junior faculty in the Tañada-Diokno College of Law, where he finished fifth in the graduating class. To learn more about Atty. Atty. Intal-Pantaleon previously worked as Attorney VI in the Commission on Elections under the Office of Commissioner Antonio Kho, Jr., and Attorney V at the Department of Justice. She was awarded the Carlos Romulo Scholarship while studying at the Tañada-Diokno College of Law. To learn more about Atty. Prior to his appointment as assistant city prosecutor, Atty. Esguerra served as a Graft Investigation & Prosecution Officer III for the Office of the Ombudsman. Their selection as new prosecutors, together with other appointments and promotions, were announced by Department of Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra.
