The Malate Literary Folio
Description
“Malate Literary Folio, or Malate, came to be identified as such only in 1984, when it was reborn, as it were, under the tutelage of distinguished writers Dr. Efren Abueg and Jun Cruz Reyes—previously, the publication had been known as Horizon, and then, Sulyap (J.O. Salazar, 2008)”.
From its conception of advocating literature and visual arts within De La Salle University and in the society, the organization thrives in the present context, to stand as a platform for publishing prose, poems, artworks and photographs from its undergraduate members. The collection comes in the form of a folio, published at the end of every trimester. Malate continues developing its craft and its awareness to contemporary issues through the formation of various workshops, lectures, discussions, performances, exhibits and collaborations with prominent writers, artists, photographers and cultural workers. mlf-1-2016
