Job Descriptions/Summary

The User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) Designer is responsible for creating intuitive, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing digital experiences across the University’s web properties. This role involves conducting user research, designing wireframes and prototypes, developing visual designs, and ensuring seamless user interactions. Working closely with the  Web Architect, the UI/UX Designer plays a crucial role in enhancing the usability, accessibility, and overall engagement of the University’s websites and digital platforms for all stakeholders.

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia Arts, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Information Design, Computer Science (with a design focus), or a related field.
  2. Preferably 1–2 years of professional experience in UI/UX design, particularly in web platforms.
  3. Experience with WordPress frontend/backend development is an advantage.
  4. Proficiency in UI/UX design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
  5. Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX projects involving user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
  6. Knowledge of user-centered design principles, usability testing, information architecture, and web accessibility standards (WCAG).
  7. Strong visual design, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, with familiarity in HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript concepts.
